Be Prepared For Winter
"Community resilience" is defined by the Scottish Government as:
“Communities and individuals harnessing resources and expertise to help themselves prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies, in a way that complements the work of the emergency responders”.
By being more prepared for the winter season, we can reduce the effects that poor weather and winter emergencies have on our homes, our mental/physical health and on our wider community.
Ashgrove and Stockethill Community Council want to improve the community resilience of our area, so that more of our residents are ready to cope with the winter season and can help themselves and their neighbours in case of an emergency.
We hope that the resources collected on these webpages will help our community be more prepared for winter, and that you will use these pages to help find practical solutions to weather related issues as they happen.
